Tire Problem
The Transfer Station used solid rubber tire expanded wheel type which caused worker health concerns due to the solid tire shock transmission. The company priorities were to improve worker health and safety as well as reduce maintenance costs on the equipment.
Trojan Solution
Installed Trojan SD Soft Core into the super deep treaded Trojan L10 Tuff Haul 60-20.5×25 bias tire.
Success / Outcome
With Trojan Soft Core and Trojan L10 Tuff Haul Tire the user achieved excellent service life with a very low cost per hour. The Soft Core allowed the operators to enjoy a soft comfortable ride and the machinery did not incur any solid tire shock damage issues.

Tire Problem
The Transfer Station experienced premature failure as the polyurethane fill broke down inside conventional L5 tire. Deeper treaded solid rubber wheel assemblies would experience bond failure. These products did not offer a cost effective solution.

With the implementation of the Soft Core & Tuff Haul Tire the user achieved over 16,000 hours or 7 years life on the 1st set of tires. The 2nd set of tires is currently in service at 50% wear and has achieved 10,000 hours life in 6 years. The customer estimates an additional 3 years life expectancy before having to replace the tires for only the 3rd time on this machine!
